UPHOLSTERY | PADDING

What happens when you experience upholstery above your waist or padding out of context? This was one of the questions that drove the work created in this series. Upholstery is a time consuming and tactile process with a deep history.  I like that.  I also like the idea of taking away the functionality of upholstery and padding and celebrating its material language and juxtaposing it with other materials. Functional ambiguity.
